Can someone explain why this game will be played in the city of Cincinnati but not at the University of Cincinnati's stadium? Nippert has an official capacity of 38,088 while TQL Stadium seats 26,000. Please make this make sense.
Miami wanted more buy games and Cincinnati wasn’t willing to increase the amount they payed them. So Miami said they weren’t going to play any of the scheduled games in Cincinnati, Cincinnati in retaliation said they wouldn’t play any of the games...
The MLS stadiums have seen less wear and tear than people expected with the UFL teams moving in. Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville has had no issues so far with hosting UFL, USL, and NWSL. A one off CFB game isn't going to destroy the field.
Better than Paycor for the time being. Long term, keep it on campus. And hosting a bowl game is a pipe dream for FCC / TQL. Bowl games are already under pressure. Opt outs, which I'll define to include the boatload of portal entries, and the CFP...
This game was originally scheduled for Paycor Stadium (the series had a "neutral site" game every few years). it was moved to TQL.
FCC has pipe dreams of hosting a bowl one day, this should be a fun test for that. Plus way livelier than if it was at Paycor. Double plus that we get to beat Miami at a new venue!
